Since its inception, OnePlus has kept it’s reputation for making great phones at an affordable price. The OnePlus 3, announced yesterday in Virtual Reality, continues this legacy by bringing top-notch (or perhaps overkill) specs in a really affordable package. This includes… 6 gigs of RAM. Seriously, OnePlus?
Well, the phone is all good: powerful Snapdragon 820 SoC with the Andreno 530 GPU, 6 GB RAM, 64 GB flash storage, 16 MP camera with EIS and OIS (Electronic and Optical Image Stabilisation) and ‘Dash Charging’ that does 60% charge in 30 minutes using the 4 amp brick. The design is a little bland - I feel OnePlus took elements from previous flagship phones, notably the HTC M9 (back design), iPhone 6/6S (colour and body shape) and Galaxy S7 (camera). The OnePlus 3 runs Android 6.0.1 under an updated OxygenOS skin.
I could write about the new OnePlus 3, but I haven’t personally used it and I won’t be able to convey an honest opinion. Rather, I feel you should watch this video review below by YouTube tech star Marques Brownlee:
