The budget category of phones is just getting more and more challenging to take on, with Chinese manufacturers like Xiaomi and OnePlus pulling down phone prices significantly without compromising on performance. Now, there is a new company coming to India - LeEco - with new phone, the Le 1S.
LeEco, earlier known as LeTV (they do make TVs), launched a new budget phone today, bringing itself straight into the budget phone competition. The Le 1S is undoubtedly a competitive phone and is, honestly, a little too good for its price.
Let me list down the specs -
Processor: 2.2 GHz Helio X10 Turbo MTK 6795T Octa Core Processor, PowerVR G6200 GPU
Memory: 3 GB RAM
Display: 1080p 5.5” (403 ppi)
Storage: 32 GB
Camera: 13 MP Primary Camera (f2.0), 5 MP Front
OS: Android v5 (Lollipop)
Battery: 3000 mAh with Fast Charging
Features: Fingerprint scanner, unibody metal construction, Dolby DTS sound enhancement, USB-C, Dual SIM
So you are taking about a phone that costs INR 11k, and it packs a 2.2 GHz Octa Core chip, 3 GB RAM and a fingerprint scanner that is wicked fast (0.15 seconds response time with 99.3% accuracy), along with a 5.5” Full HD display, a 13 MP camera with 4K video recording and an IR blaster. Pretty insane, right?
LeEco’s phones have been very successful in China, thanks to their competitiveness. Now that the company is expanding to India, you’ll expect to see it grow quiet significantly. Sure, the Le 1S is a spec-sheet killer, but will it stand strong in its after-sales services and reliability? We cannot be sure yet, but it will be an interesting topic to follow.
The Le 1S is for sale on registration basis exclusively on Flipkart for Rs. 10,999. If you wish to know more and buy follow this link: http://snip.ly/Px93
