Blackbox: any complex piece of equipment, typically a unit in an electronic system, with contents that are mysterious to the user.
Nah, I’m not talking about that black box. I’m talking about a game called ‘Blackbox’. Blackbox is a brilliant iOS puzzle game that impressed me from the very first time I played it. Blackbox is unique — literally: you need to light up “bulbs” by doing various things on your iPhone, WITHOUT touching the screen! Wait, what?
Blackbox tests your knowledge about your phone. You use it every single day, but can you solve these puzzles merely using all the sensors, buttons and other hardware the iPhone packs?
Spoiler: you need to use everything from your phone microphone to the lightning cable to solve the games in this app.
Blackbox is rated #1 free puzzle game in many countries on the App Store. There is no reason to not download it and try, so here’s the link: App Store - Blackbox - free
Blackbox has not sponsored this post in any manner, but I’d like to give a shout-out to Ryan McLeod for making this stunning piece of software. Read, in Ryan’s words, the story behind Blackbox in his post on Medium.
